... And let me share my January Blog with you!
I hope the first month on the new year has been kind to you; yes, I know we're in another lockdown and yes, I know we're still not able to see friends and family, I totally get it, times are tough but I hope that you are doing ok and getting through it as best you can!
I've been struggling through January without the "real life" contact of my family, my sisters, and my nieces and nephews so in January I threw myself into those "big photography dreams" I mentioned at NY and this has kept me been busy behind the scenes. 31 days into 2021 and I am really excited to give you a couple of sneak peaks into what I've been working on and what I've been up to!
So first up was the launch of Phase 1 : Website Update with new logo and new look branding - this went live on Day 3 of 2021. I spent hours researching and playing around with the kind of look I wanted and am really happy with the end result; what do you all think?
Under the close supervision of an amazing marketing guru friend, I managed to draw up a marketing strategy and by Day 5 of 2021 I had most of my social media posts for the month of Jan "in the bag" and ready to go! It was only after some detailed email exchanges and tips did I realise how much marketing effort had been lacking from my business plan up until this point.
Whilst riding the wave of excitement and euphoria over the new website launch, I decided I needed to look ahead to the spring and have something to look forward to; and the AMP Styled Shoot was born.
By Day 10 of 2021 I was putting the finishing touches to my Shoot Proposal. I let this sit for a couple of days so I could revisit it with fresh eyes and then I started emailing this out to some amazing wedding industry business and suppliers that I am fortunate enough to have worked with before, and some that I haven't; and I have been completely bowled over by the positive responses ...
"What a fab proposal, looks fantastic" ...
"This looks fab, Amy" ...
"Thank you for such a professional proposal to your wedding shoot" ...
"OMG AMY! That is incredible that you have put that all together it looks amazing!" ...
And by Day 25 of 2021 my wish list of partners was almost complete!
I have secured a beautiful local venue who is going to host us for the day and has given us "access all areas" to make some amazing images; I have the most stunning "real life" couple as our models, and I have to mention some spectacular business who "absolutely nail" what they do in adding something special to every wedding day or event ... I can't say anything more at this stage about the shoot or my partners - I have planned the promotional material and release of it down to the very last detail, including "spotlight profile posts" on each of my partners - and don't want to spoil it! So watch this space for more news and info on the AMP Styled Shoot coming soon!
Day 28 of 2021 was a particularly special day for me as I saw 2 of my "lockdown" images in print on the front covers for the February editions of the local publications The Listing and The Listing SG8 Villages.
The Listing magazines are hand delivered to 16,500 homes in Royston, Hertfordshire, the surrounding South Cambridgeshire and North Hertfordshire villages in the SG8 postcode - to know that this many people are going to see my photographs kinda' blows me away a little.
And now we are just a couple of days away from February - this is going to be another big month for AMP ... but that's for another blog!
Stay safe & keep well all x
